Salers crossbreeding

Research shows the Salers-cross female is the most efficient and productive cow in the industry. The American Salers Association has an "Optimizer" Registry which allows commercial cattlemen to manage percent blood in their cowherds through documented, seedstock quality composites complete with EPD's. Cattle from 1/4 to less than 3/4 Salers ancestry fit the program, and all have performance data. The following link explains the program along with the benefits of using Salers to create crossbred herds.
